Ok- so I know that I need to ask a doctor. And I know that I shouldn't eve know these results. But I am from Sydney and I Live really remote and after my missed miscarriage and eventual break up (which I don't even know what to say- except that exactly one week to the day that he told me he couldn't care about me or my welfare. Long story short), I have stumbled across s sheet of my discharge summary- which is from my placenta.

The results say that microscopically there is an 'aggregate of blood clots' with fibrin and degenerate CVS.

I guess I am asking before I. See a doctor axed talk about everything. Do these blood clots tell a story? Is this why my baby stopped living at 9 weeks but was held in to 12- lack of blood flow is the placenta? No nutrients And no function? Are there suppose to. Be blood clots?

And has anyone had a successful pregnancy after???

I am so sorry about the loss of your baby. From the limited knowledge of what I have to me it reads very normal and really doesn't answer why you had a missed m/c. You could expect to see degenerated CVS and aggregate of blood clots after a period of time after the pregnancy stopped progressing. The pregnancy does start to break down so to speak and it can be some time before you will pass all the products of conception. This can take many months without a D&C in some situations. Obviously these days its very unlikely for someone to go more then 6weeks without medical intervention. There would be a chance the blood clots stopped blood flow/nutrients to your baby but I would say more then likely the blood has accumulated after bub had died but you didn't pass them as they were concealed under the placenta perhaps.
I would definately go see your doctor to get a definate answer. A missed m/c is quite common and most women go on to have a successful pregnancy.
