I am not 100% sure with what is going on with my body at the moment.. Just over a week ago I was standing in the kitchen, and felt a gush of blood. I am on the pill, not trying to get pregnant, and not assuming that I would be pregnant. I just thought it must of been my period coming early (still had a week to go on my pill packet, and have skipped the last 2 months sugar tablets). I had been feeling quite bloated and crampy for a few days.
But a week later, I am still bleeding very bright red blood, and it's a bit clotty and I am still crampy.
I came to the sudden realisation that prehaps I actually was pg. I am on the pill but I am a little bit useless at taking it. I do remember the next day and take 2 at once like it says on the packet though For the past few weeks, my boobs got quite firm (not now), and my sense of smell was amazing - everytime I opened the cupboard I could smell the onions really strongly, and that has stopped in the past few days, and I was super tired - I thought it was becasue of the twins not sleeping. But all the little signs are the ones that you go "Ohhhh right!" everytime I've been pregnant before.
This is all a bit jumbled. If it is what I think it is - do I need to go to the doctor or can I just continue on how I am (unless of course the bleeding gets any heavier?). I just feel like I don't want anything to be confirmed. Babies are done for us - and I am a bit devastated at that, but do agree 3 is enough - so this is really bad, but I feel like I need to ignore this because I don't know how to cope with the thought of it. And I absolutely know, this could be some kind of weird, long period too, so I'd prefer it to 'be my period' in my mind iykwim.
Sorry, twins are awake so have to finish this off but would appreciate any advice..
you don't have to - it's entirely up to you - just monitor the bleeding etc
given you've missed two af's with the pill, you may find it's just a really heavy bleed to shed a couple of months of lining that has built up - this happens often with pcos sufferers who don't get af for several months at a time.
Thanks BG. I quite often skip for a couple of months and it's always heavier to start off with but then eases off and chages colour. It's never ever been bright red for over a week before which made me wonder..
I would still get it checked for piece of mind. It could be anything. Ectopic, fibroid ? I would have no idea? Sorry to sound do negative! Hope all is ok for you
