So it's a new nappy? Did you pre-wash it a few times before use as per the itti bitti directions? Absorbency increases after a few initial washes. That's all I can think of. Unless you are noticing the smell more because you are used to the odour trapping abilities of sposies? Or was it really hot in your neck of the woods today, and your DD was a bit dehydrated?

its not new, i bought a couple new pea pods and some used/like new itti's. i had washed them when i got them over the weekend.
ive only ever used the cloth nappies they give you in hospital, and disposables since leaving each time, yes shes just cut her 3rd and 4th teeth and 5+6 are popping up. im giving them a few more good washes again tonight and going to try start again when they dry. hope it smells better next time!

sarah - sounds like they need a good strip wash.
Wash them in hot water and a few drops of dishwashing liquid and then rinse them until the sud's are gone. Your quiet obviously smelling another child's wee that is still contained in the nappy.
