So, I've decided that I'd give tt a go with DD - now, she's only 19months, so possibly still a bit young, but it would be great to have her out of nappies by the time the next one is born in march. we use cloth nappies 99% of the time, so not sure if this will make a difference.

Anyway, this is what I've decided to try - any opinions, other ideas greatly received!
When we're at home, I've been putting her in cotton 'big girl' knickers, and then try her on the potty every 30mins or so. I've also got a good picture book about potty training that she likes reading.
We've been doing this since monday, and absolutely no luck so far - and there's a couple of issues -
firstly, she is happy to sit on the potty with a nappy or her knickers on for quite a while, but will only sit there for about 10secs with no pants on, or last night, she would sit with both her feet IN the potty and then crouch down - that was the only way she would sit with no pants on.
secondly, she doesn't seem to mind if she wets herself - doesn't complain if the knickers are wet at all.
thirdly, last night I was at work, and DH tried her on the potty, she got up walked to the kitchen, weed on the floor and had a whinge.

so, is she not ready for it? Should I maybe leave it and come back to it in a month? Any one else had success at tt this young?
I had a look at different potties in target - the potty we have was only a cheapie and has quite a small sitting area - maybe its not comfy on her tush? target had a couple that had a bigger rim, so this might be more comfortable? or I could go to one of the seats that fit in the normal toilet?

as I said, any help or idea would be great! TIA
