    Any other ideas for TT??

I'm stuck at a sticker chart Can't come up with something more interesting that that .. how cool am I

DD is just not interested in the sticker chart. I tell her that if she wees on the loo, she gets a sticker and she agree's, but when I ask her if she want to wee "NO" " You can get a sticker if you wee on the loo" " NOOOO" and then she wee in her nappy (?!)

I don't want to make an issue out of this. She has wee'ed on the loo and even pooed in the loo ONCE (what big excitement that was) but she is just not interested.

Any ideas? Should I just leave it till she is three?

sorry no ideas here, i've given up on my DS. He's in denial. Have you done wee NO, have you done poo NO - but you stink. Still NO he says he hasn't done anything and hates going to the potty. He doesn't even care he's wet himself, so I've concluded he's not ready. And YES he likes stickers, but not enough to go to the potty .
I have bribed him with chocolate b4 and it did work, but then thought this wasn't the way to go so stopped. I'll try again soon.

I tried everything (and i mean EVERYTHING from stickers to gummybears, to just putting her in pants and letting her wet herself 8million times a day) and what eventually worked was....DD decided to do it. One day she just decided she didn't want nappies any more and that was that.

I began trying to TT just before she was 2.5 (because she had several signs of readiness) but she refused to tell me when she needed to go and refused to poo on the loo/in the potty at all. After several months of on/off constipation, a few small successes and lots of huge disasters i realised that i was spending my days with her thinking about TT, how to TT, getting her better at TT, and not the fun we could be having. I figured i'd have a last ditch attempt for a week and see if it made any difference. I put her in pants "no more nappies" i told her. She wet and soiled herself up to 7 times a day for the next 6 days. We were both depressed! I decided to forget it, that she would never be TT before she was at least 3.5, and not to bother. The next morning (literally) i got her up and she came down stairs and peed on the carpet. I put a nappy on her and decided i was DONE with TT for at least 3 months. Later that morning a health visitor came and asked was she in nappies. I bemoaned the whole thing. DD piped up that she wanted to do a wee in the potty. So i took her nappy off again, feeling a bit humiliated since i'd just told the HV how impossible and unwilling she was about it all, and since that one wee wee in the potty she has been dry day and night.

One day she was ready and overnight went from weeing at random/refusing to communicate need/refusing to go to the potty or toilet/demanding a nappy to poo in etc. to being clean and dry. I cannot honestly take credit for this, she just decided.

So yep, if i were you i'd "give up" for a few months. Worked for us anyway

My sons weren't interested in sticker charts either. I used treats as a bribe lol..

they either got a milky way when we went out or a few smarties when they went. I didn't give them if they went but didn't do anything..

I like the "give up" idea

Thank so much, I thought it was just me. Babywannabe that is exactly where we are now .... No wee in potty. No poo in potty. This morning she woke up dry (I change her before bed at about 11pm) and I asked her if she wants a sticker, she said YES, then you need to wee in the potty, NO ... about 5 seconds later she wees in her diper. *sigh*

Going to leave it till she wants to potty. Thanks again guys

After one poo in the nappy that just got stuck everywhere eeeeeekkkkk....I am happy to say I gave up also!!! Charlie would sit on the potty, and would wee outside when ever you asked......he also would run & watch DH or I on the toilet & then a couple days later he didn't want any part of it. I bought wiggles undies thinking that might help & it was worse as he wouldn't take then off for anything.
Currently I ask him to sit on the potty before a bath....he jumps on the off & declares "no wee's" then stands up in the bath 5mins later & does one...hmmmm.

I'm going to try again in a couple months, I would like him done before our next bundle arrives. I know not everyone agrees but I'm going with a treat idea a friend of mine used. I'm going to get a heap of cheap little books, cars etc from our $2shop, wrap them up and but in a bag. Then I'm going to TRY & explain he gets to choose one at the end of the day if he's done all his wee's etc in the potty/toilet. I really want to get it done in the next few months as we will be travelling a bit after that & then new bubs........so I'm willing to use a drastic measure to hopefully encourage him to go nuts with it.

Oh Erin I hear you. I wanted dd off nappies before Mr arrived, but needless to say ... we are not there yet. I work weeks and have a carer for them at home, so over weekends, the time I would like to "relax" - yes such a word exist, does not know what it means anymore, but I know it does happen to ppl without kids, I feel like that is all I do ... change soaking and dirty diapers

A friend of mine successfully TT her little boy by buying hime undies with favourite characters and telling him they they would get sad if they got wet or dirty so he needed to 'look after' them by telling mummy when he needed to go toilet...haven't had a chance to try it myself yet but might be worth a go.

a friend took her daughter shopping and they picked out three special books that could only be read when she sat on the potty. it worked a treat!
