    Girls Vs Boys

    Hi Ladies,

Was wondering if there was a different approach in dealing with boys and girls when it comes to toilet training? My daughter was relatively easy, but seemed much more mature at the 22 months my son is.

    Any advice would be appreciated

That's pretty much my experience. Girls are more verbal and more mature at the same age. I'd say start a bit later with your DS than you did with DD. You'll know when he is ready to tell you when he needs to go!
I am looking to start DD earlier than DS did.

My son TT'ed at the same time (and quicker) as his cousin (girl) who is nearly a year older.

If possible I think summertime is the best time - pants are off most of the time anyway and they are not sitting in a chilly seat!
I think when they start to show an interest in wearing undies, flushing the toilet or feeling uncomfortable in a wet/dirty nappy is the time to consider starting.
