my DD has been trying out the toilet for a few months and has had some wees and poos on there but mainly just to coincidence and me timing it right. however, the other day she grunted and said ppos and then we ran to the toilet. there wree some skiddies on her nappy and she sat on the toilet and finished doing her poo.
today she did a poo in her nappy and said wees then we ran to the toilet and i popped the poo into the toilet and sat her on it and she finished off pooin in the toilet.
the thing is another time today she also did a poo in her nappy and didnt say anything. she is all over the place. sometimes calls it poo, sometimes wees and vice versa. sometimes she will do it on the toilet sometimes in her nappy and when she is running around with undies on she does about 6 wees in an hour! she knows it is wee cause she says wee as she is standing in the puddle then runs off to the toilet but she has already finished by the time she sits on the toilet.
sorry this is ramblin. anyhoo.... how long will it take for her to fully be toilet trainied! she is in nappies most of the day. should i put her in undies most of the day and just put up with a million wees?
she is 17 months old too, and GP said dont even bother until she is 18 months.....
Wow, your DD is doing exceptionally well for her age! My DS wasn't fully toilet trained until he turned 3. We took our time and didn't make a big issue of it, he got there when he was ready. He probably could have got there sooner, but I was pg and exhausted a lot of the time!
It sounds like she will be pretty well trained by the time she turns 2, but who knows? I think just keep doing what you are doing if you are happy, but if you are getting stressed about it, maybe give it a rest for a month or two and try again.
