From the title, I am just wondering how many nappies most people have and the number of children you have in cloth, the amount of washing you do etc.
I have 36 MCN at the moment and have said to DH that I want to get more, he doesn't want me too but I am thinking further ahead than he is. I am starting to think about how much of everything we will need when we decided its time to try for a little sister (more likely to have a girl than a boy) for DD.
I am still on Mat leave so still technically making my own money so am looking into getting more stuff like cots and nappies. Nappies being the main one because I can use them now and later on more so then a second cot ITMS.
ANyway how many do you have in your stash, how many do you go through a day, your number of children and how much washing do you do (frequency I am every second day leaving a day for nappy drying time)
We have about 60 now I think... thats ranging from small/newborn sized to large which will do her to TT. Plus about 40 flats that we never use as nappies but they are there JIC.
We wash every second day. We don't go through many, I think we have about 30-40 that fit her now and we don't go through NEAR that many, MAYBE 6 or 7 a day, plus a night nappy. But I think thats because she is getting a bit of bladder control and holding onto her wee for longer. Some days she won't wee for a few hours, I'll go to change her and she is bone dry! But thats only in the last month or so.
I won't be buying anymore, even though we are TTC soonish, because we do have so many already, plus Jazz is such a chubbabubba and these nappies do her big roleypoley legs fine but the next one may not be so I don't want to buy up on a whole bunch of nappies that may not suit the next bub.
I did have about 145 in my stash for 2 in full time cloth, culled it to 90, and now have culled again so I have about 35-40 for DS and DD1 and I have probably umm... 18 for DD2.
(We aren't in cloth at the moment but we WILL be once we move and I get to unpack them!)
I wash daily - obviously.
I change the kids every 2 hours otherwise they wet through. (heavy heavy wetters in this house).
So thats 6 during the day - and one for 12 hours overnight.
Can't wait to get in cloth again, spent $40 yesterday on nappies for just 2 of the kids that will probably only last a few days!! Ridiculous..
