How many dry nights in a row would you go before ditching the night nappy?

Well just as the heading says, how many days do you think?

DS has been dry for about 5 nights in a row, but then was wet one night, then dry again about another 4 so far.

I actually don't know the answer because my DD4 hasn't had a dry night whilst wearing a nappy. Last week she flattly refused to wear a night nappy anymore so we have gone cold turkey. We've had 2 wet nights. However, we do take her to the loo at 10pm and then again at 6am.

I remember my friend ditching the nappy after her daughter was mostly dry after a month.

Personally if your son is dry more often then not then ditch the nappy but be prepared for some accidents..goodluck

I think from memory with DD1 I waited a few weeks then got rid of the nappy. We had a couple of accidents but I invested in some of those mats you put over the sheet and instead of changing the whole bed you just pull the mat off. They are fantastic and I can take them with us if we go anywhere.

Yeah - I have bought 2 of the mats. Hmm - might give it a bit longer then ditch it soon

We were a bit over the top and defentatily had a waterproof sheet on before ditching them, we waited a good couple of months but have been very fortunate that we have'nt had a wet bed yet. We used pullups to start with so if they did wet the chances were they would feel it DD did!!! but Ds slept through it all. We always take them to the toilet before going to bed..

We told DD1 she had to be dry 5 nights in a row before she could wear undies to bed. She was so she did. She hardly ever has any accidents now.
