What do you for nighttime during potty training?

Hi all
We are in the process of TT Mr 30 month old.
We kicked off the process pretty hardcore over the long weekend by using the 3 day toilet training idea which involved throwing out all nappies and announcing it is time to use the toilet. I do recommend it, it is supposedly best attempted with kids around the 22 month mark I can see how it would likely work with kids a bit younger who are less obstinate!
By and large our son is doing very well, mostly weeing in the potty.
We are still getting there with number 2s and I am following other threads on the topic here with interest!
My question relates to nighttime..we have had one dry night in 5.
The three day theory suggests keep persevering with nights, get them up an hour after they go to bed and an hour before they rise. And also sleeping in their room for 3 nights to be there to remind them to go wee in the toilet.
Mr 30 months wets the bed and sleeps through til morning! And stays asleep when we get him up to try and get him to wee!
Whilst ideally we want to stay away from bribes/rewards we got the dry night after promising Maccas for lunch the next day if he woke up dry. He woke up told us he was dry and asked for his chippies! So he understands the deal conceptually I believe.
Maccas is his currency but I dont want to offer it every day!
I truly dont mind the washing etc but am worried he'll catch cold given we are starting to see wintery weather. We do keep ducted heating on overnight at the moment.
How have you got your kids to overnight dryness? How long has it taken for you to get there? Do you think it a bit much to go cold turkey with everything at once?

I think its up to you, but my girls were alot older when I first left their nappy off over night.
Some kids do just do it. I know 2 little girls who were trained over night at 2. My DD1 was 3 & 4 months when she first had no nappy & DD2 was 4.5. Only a few months ago. DD1 still wet the bed til she was 6, DD2 still does, but less than DD1 did at the same age.
I had DS nappy free over night a few months ago, but they've had to go back on as he's been wetting more in the cooler weather. He still wakes up dry most nights though.

when we TT'd DD#1 we still used nappies at night, even though we went straight to pants during the day.
When she woke up dry we gave her lots of praise and she was able to put the same nappy away again to use the next night.
After about 6 mths she decided she didn't want to wear a nappy at night anymore, so now we take her to the toilet just before we go to bed at night. She is still usually sleeping, so isn't really learning to go to the toilet overnight - but I'm not too fussed at the moment. She's only just 3
