My DS has had a blister on his upper leg/groin area, virtually on the crease where his 'sposie nappies sit tightest. It looked red, so I put cream on it - it's now dried and is healing. BUT now it looks like he has two other little blisters forming in the pubic region above his penis. I'm presuming this can only be a nappy/heat-related thing ? It's been humid and hot in Brissie lately. DS has never had nappy rash, and there's no sign of the blisters anywhere else on him.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas on stopping the blisters? The first blister didn't seem to worry him, but it did look red and a bit sore. DS is in the right size nappies (ie/ they're not too tight), and he regularly has his nappy changed.
I've put some heat rash powder on his nappy region tonight. Otherwise, I can only think to give him nappy free time to see if that helps. Either that, or we move to Tasmania to escape the heat .
Andie my little man has the same thing at the moment. We are on the Sunny Coast, so I can sympathise with you about the heat. My little man started with the heat rash in his nappy area after a long day shopping yesterday and me being a bit slack with the nappy changes, and now he is covered in it. I feel so bad Ive kept him stripped off today and lots of swims in the pool. Unfortunately there isnt much we can do but keep them cool and the curash powder is good also to soothe it.
Thanks MummaBear, I used the Curash powder on the blisters last night and it seems to have done the trick in drying them out before they got worse.
Do you use the Curash powder just on his nappy area, or can it be an all-over powder? I'm just using a small sample I was given when DS was born ... will have to go buy some, I think.
