Should I continue?

I need a little advice with regard to toilet training DS.

He is 2 year, 4 months and we started toilet training around 3 months ago, but only got really serious about it in the last month or so.

Every time I take him to the toilet he will do a wee when I ask him to. However, he has not started to ask to go to the toilet, I always take him every 20 minutes or so. He's happy to go when I take him, so it's not a nightmare to do it or anything, but he's just not picking up to ask when he needs to wee. If I leave him he'll just do it in his undies and it doesn't bother him in the slightest.

I really wanted him toilet trained before winter came along, but it's starting to get cooler now and I really don't know whether to keep persisting with it or just let it go.

What do you think? Your opinions would be greatly appreciated

I'd keep with it you don't want to have to start all over again IYKWIM? A friend of mine had the same problem but he finally got it!
