Is she telling me something?? When did you start TT??

DD has been taking her nappy off both day and night when she does a wee. I find the nappy dry in the morning in the cot and she's taken it off a few times during the day when she wants do do a wee. Is she trying to tell me something???

When did you start TT? I have a potty that I thought i'd drag out and try and encourage her on there...rather than all over my floors
Is there things I should be aware of if i'm doing this?? What do I do to get through night time??

It certainly wouldn't hurt to get the potty out and see how she goes with it. From what I've read, girls tend to tt earlier than boys, usually between 18 mths - 2 yrs. Nina was tt at 2, it only took about 4 weeks to tt her. When she takes her nappy off, sit her on the potty with a book/toy and see what she does. She's still young, so it'll be more of an amusement thing for her at the moment. Good luck.

We started really early doing part time elimination communication(before she was 1)... Mj is 21 months and now nappy free during the day, it has been a longer process but has worked well for us. Now a days we occasionally have an accident but not often.

I would take her into the bathroom with you when you go to the toilet and let her sit down on the potty then.
Evetually she will go (may take days though) when you do and then she will start to put things together.
Be prepared for accidents, but the more time you can spend nappy free, the quicker she will understand and relate the sensation of weeing with what it actually is iykwim. Use praise when she gets it right, but resist the urge to tell her off if she has an accident, just explain that it would be nicer if she did a weewee in the potty as her legs/knickers/trousers wouldnt be wet
