    Question Reusuable aqua nappies?

    Hi all,
Does anyone know if you can get reusuable swimming nappies? I'm using the Huggies Little Swimmers for DS's swim lessons but they are a bit 'spensive. I'm sure I've heard of reusuable ones but have not seem them anywhere...

You can get Cloth swim nappies.
The ones I'm thinking of are by BUMMI's and they're about $18.00 each.
    From memory.

There are a few different options...
I have a couple of Imse Vimse swim nappies, they were about $22.
There are Mother Ease, they are about $20

Check out Nurture Nappies, they have a couple on special at the moment.
Also, Darlings Downunder, New Age Nappies, Baby Soft Landings, Bambino Mio...

I have 2, which is one to wear and one if we need to change her mid-swim! lol But You shouldnt need more than that I dont think for one bub

Let us know how you go!

Yes we have used them for DD - from 3 months we used Ezy Nappy which were quite good and the Natures Child website store also sells some.

In the meantime until you choose one and get them, you can re-use your little swimmers. Just rinse them out after the swim and pop them on the line - you get about 10 uses per nappy that way.

i use Imse Vimse swim nappy or just plain speedo bathers for sophie!
she has in 14 months of going swimming. poo'd just once, i always take both pairs just incase, the imse vimse are great especially if she wee's prior to getting in the pool as the bathers hold the wee in! the speedo bathers are are fine too

I've got some motherease ones that are great - they have poppers down the sides so much easier to put on. I also grabbed a pair from KMart to use as our back up.

Wow ladies thanks for all these. I might try reusing the Little Swimmers till I find some others- I hadn't thought of doing that! This will be my first foray into the world of cloth/reusuables so i'll let you know how I go!

The only ones i use are little swimmers and i reuse them all the time, just bung them in the wash and then hang them out on the line, they are great. I just use them over and over untill they are looking a bit worst for wear :L

yep. Chuck them in the wash and reuse. Don't use a new one everytime. They're too expensive for that!!

This might be a silly question, but do they survive the washing machine?
