Impetigo and washing nappies

Hello - I'm just wondering whether anyone has any ideas about whether I need to do some extra or special washing of our nappies - my DS has developed impetigo on his penis and scrotum (poor kid!). I feel like I should give all the nappies an extra wash but I'm just wondering whether I need to add any antibacterial-ish stuff to the wash, or do a hot wash, or???

any ideas?

I would, just because the impetigo bacteria tend to be pretty contagious. I would either do a hot soak in napisan or use the canesten wash.

I've used canesten wash a couple of times on our nappies when our little guy seems to have a bit of a bug. The nappies are fine and I like knowing they're extra clean. I'd do it for peace of mind if nothing else.
