DD is 17 months old and I'm thinking of seeing how she would go at doing her evening poo in a potty.

There's a couple of reasons for this - the main one is she is such a nightmare to change, particularly for that last change before she goes to bed. Sometimes it can take 20 minutes and three attempts with her trying to fight me off and kicking and no end of carrying on. And when you're on the own in the evening with no DP around, this is most definitely not fun.

The other reason is that she seems to do a poo on demand now. I ask her to do a poo and off she goes for a bit of privacy and comes back and voila! So I'm thinking that, in theory, getting her to do that poo in a potty might not be that hard and might save a lot of aggro.

I'm not particularly worried about trying to get her to do wees in a potty just yet but d'you think that encouraging her to use a potty just for that evening poo at first would confuse her?

She's also been taking her own nappy off a lot lately and did a poo on the floor a couple of weeks ago so I think that maybe she doesn't like pooing in her nappy and maybe doesn't like me changing her when she has.
