TT, DD takes pull up off when Im not looking!! HELP!

DD is 2 and is showing alot of interest in TT. Day care takes her to the toliet every hour and she sits on the toliet and pees and poos.. At home I might run of for a second.. Just a second and she thinks its ok to rip off the pull up and run around naked..

Today was a totally different story. She took it off and wow she had done a stinker.. She yelled out to me while I was garage hanging clothes up. I came in and there was poo everywhere all over our cream carpet and she had rubbed it into her little couch.. It stinks and its just horrible..

Ive cleaned it up now, thank god.. I dont want to discourage her from doing the right thing sort off, but how do I stop her doing that again. I tried to talk to her but you could tell she wasnt listening and honestly I dont think she really could understand.

Any suggestions?? Does it get any better??

My DD was taking off her nappies/pullups off and running around butt naked too. Not too long ago either. She is 23 months and is fully toilet trained during the day. We began last month. It was her decision, she was ready.

I bought her some barbie undies and she now just wears undies during day under her clothes as she hates anything nappy-like.
She didn't like them at the start but i kept showing her my ones "just like mummy's undies, oohhh wow" making a big fuss over them or "look at the little girl on your undies, isn't she pretty?" again big fuss. Now she wears them.

I had the poo on the carpet too, only once thank god. But she went through a habit of doing wee-wees and poo in her potty and then going to the tea towel drawer, taking out a clean tea towel and wiping her bottom with it. Now she doesn't do it. I clean her bum and then give her a piece of toilet paper and she wipes herself clean.

Don't yell at her. Get her used to the potty first, even if it means that she's butt naked. One concept at a time. First potty, then undies and then clothes. I don't think they can think as logically as we can yet.

By the sounds of it she wants to wear undies. My DS was TT just after his 2nd birthday. I tried about 1 month before and he just didnt get it, then one day he just didnt want to wear his nappy anymore and kept taking it off even if there was poo in there as well!!!!!!!!!!! So i just put him in undies and we have never looked back. You cold even try the training pants if you want. GOod luck!!!

Thank god Im not alone.. Im going to try the undies and she what she does.. I call her pull up undies now so she is sort of use to it.. I did try to tt her once before but she had a small blader and couldnt controll it. But now she just runs for it. Im trying to stay calm but sometimes its hard.. Thank you for your help.

Let her choose her own undies, that way they are more special to her.
