What nappies are you using?

I am using cloth during the day and usually disposables at night and when going out (and sometimes when we have visitors as I have had a mustard blowout all over my hand one time in the cloth, and would prefer that we don't have the same happen to them :D !!)
So far I have only tried Huggies, have found they have leaked a couple of times but not sure how as they didn't feel wet on the outside at all, but my bed was wet (he lies down with me for night feeds) - and no it was definitely him not me that wet the bed LOL
Might try a couple of the other brands that ppl have mentioned here now too.

No surprise that Huggies are popular. I've used them for all 3 kids, apart from 6 months of cloth for my first baby when I was trying to be sooo perfect. Bought a pack of Huggies for hubby to use while I was away for a couple of days, and never went back. Cloth nappies get a lot harder once they're crawling, due to leakage and falling off etc, unless you get the expensive ones that are shaped like disposables with the velcro and elastic bits and everything.

I always try cheaper ones and go back to Huggies coz the others all seem to leak, BUT, now I'm using Snugglers and finding them really good, and buy them in the big box, nice n cheap.

Came accross this one on my travels, looking for a thread about nappy changing on a baby who wriggles a great deal and just doesn't want to co-operate.

With the twins I used cloth for a few days, but by the time I had changed the beds, their clothes etc, had about 20 loads of washing!! went to disposable. Snugglers during the day, huggies at night. With #3 I was doing that, but she pees upward, like a boy TMI, so leaking constantly. Have gone to huggies 24/7. Coz they hold so much only change her 5-6 times a day!!

well we are now 12 weeks down the track and ONLY using disposables!! DOH. I could make the effort and continue with the cloth but they come in very handy for those chucky burps so.......
I have tried BabyLove & currently using them during the day until they run out as I don't particularly like them.
I too find that Snugglers are really good, Kane has been in them all night and stayed dry. Am only using Huggies at the mo cos they were on such a good special the other week so were cheaper than the Snugglers.

I used Huggies with the boys while they were in the newborn size. Then I change to Sugglers. Now I am using what ever is the cheapest. At the moment lullabys I think they are called. they were on sale at Big W 64pk for $16. I tend to work out the cost per nappy and then decide which ones I buy anything under 30c each is pretty good.

Snuggler has changed their design, they no longer have the blue pannel across the back and Glenn was always leaking and I was getting sick of it.
ALdi brand isn't bad either the Mami ones , only reason I didn't keep using them is DH didn't like how bulky they looked on DS.

Cloth for us. I've got 'Tots-Bots', terry squares, flannellette squares and have just bought a 'Bubba-J' hemp fitted and some Mother-Ease fitteds. Love 'em all.

I buy whatever is on special usually, I have been using bablove a lot, but the last week I have noticed quite a few leaks! So I think I might go back to using huggies for night and a cheaper brand for day. I tried the coles brand nappies not long ago and they were really good, and also plain old black and gold ones from IGA are excellent, suprisingly! :D

We use cloth at home during wake times, Huggies at night and VIPs during day sleeps, and going out (they are almost as good as Huggies, but cheaper!)

Cloth during the day (except for outings) but as his wee's are getting bigger I'm starting to really be over them... Huggies at night time.

Ellen, 3 boxes of newborn size should be more than enough - you'll be suprised how quick they move up to the Infant size, especially if you have a big bub like I did!

I used cloth nappies until my dd was 8 months old and we moved towns (a distance of 1300km) which made using cloth too hard so went to disposables. Now use babylove disposables. Buy them in bulk. Heaps cheaper than huggies although I do believe that huggies do work better. Snugglers burnt dd bottom within 10minutes of putting one on her bottom would be bright red and hot and would take at least 2 days of cloth to calm it back down.

Just thought I'd mention that our income went down recently (before it went up again) and we needed to save some money, so stopped buying Huggies, and used Babylove instead.
IMO they work PERFECTLY, and I am not going back to Huggies and wasting our money again!
I have never had a leak with Babylove either.... However, I think they work so well because Aidyn is older, and doesnt wee or poo quite as much (especially overnight) anymore. On a younger baby I would probably still use Huggies, but on an older one I don't really see the need.

Huggies were the only nappies that didn't give DS nappy rash, but i found the new design Snugglers fantastic too. Juat started using cloth, terry flats and have had NO leaks so far way better than any disposables on DS, a bit more work though. am using Huggies at night.

I use cloths (flannellette then terry flats) predominantly. We used to use sposies for going out, but now only use them if we're going on a 2hour plus drive, or if I'm catching the train with Oscar in the sling instead of the pram. I use sposies at night, too, until I can find a suitable cloth solution (we now have an income, so maybe soon!!).
As for brand, I am surprised no-one has mentioned the Aldi nappies. I have only ever used Huggies when they were samples from Bounty Bags and I really do find the Aldi ones better. Also far cheaper. They have only ever failed me when they were getting a bit small and we were in need of moving up a size!
Cloth flats are dead easy and I love to know that I'm not contributing to landfill and water table contamination (cos, honestly, how many sposie users actually flush the poo down the toilet, as legally required??). And they are fun!

We've been using Huggies, and I've also used Coles brand as well. The other brands seem so much bigger and we cant do them up tight enough to prevent leakage!

I find That anything not like huggies leaks through the legs. Snugglers are good now coz they have similar legs to huggies but aren't as elastic at the waist. Im sticking with huggies.

Modern Cloth! :D BumGenius, Peapods, Tots Bots, Baby BeeHinds, Itti Bittis, BerryPlush...the list goes on!

I'm the laziest person in the world and I find cloth so easy and cheap, especially since we're planning on a few babies. Each to their own though, whatever turns you on. ;)

I am using huggies nappies for my newborn baby. They are pretty pricey though. I might consider trying some other brands of comparable quality.
