    wool recommendations for soakers

    Hiya,
I'm getting MIL to knit a soaker for Caty and was wondering if there's any wool that's better than others? I know it has to be about 75% wool....any other suggestions or hints? Are any brands better than others?
    Thanks!

Check back through some of the other soaker threads, Shannon has recommended good wools in the past. I wouldn't bother going for anything less than 100 wool, ensure its 8ply minimum. Try and stay away from machine washable as it tends to be less absorbant, and the softer the better!

Perhaps Shannon could put a link to the post where she described all the different types of wool in here too.... I can't find it again now. It was a really good post and I meant to print it off but didn't get around to it.

I found one on page 3 about knitting patterns though it didnt' go into great depth about wool.
