    Wool Soakers on Newborn

    Can it be done?

I'm lucky enough to have a MIL who loves to knit - she has made a few larger soakers, but has offered to make small ones if I'd use them.

I do wrap up Alexander, so would this prevent the soaker from doing its job and cause wicking onto clothes etc? He is quite a heavy wetter but I'd like to use wool more for the breathability and cuteness factor over PUL.

Even tho he is breastfed, his poos aren't usually too explosive and rarely escape the nappy so not too worried about cleaning poo off wool.

    Thanks!

Yep - they certainly will work
I dont think it makes any difference if he is wrapped up - you may need a few on rotation as they will get wetter each time I guess, but if you have a MIL knitting for you - no worries there!

Ooh that's interesting to know, I am going to wait and see just what my little one poos like, but if it's not too outta control...well soakers are so cute! I just don't want to be forever scrubbing poo out of wool.
