How much lansinoh for wool covers?

This is a question about wool covers/soakers.
I have some I have made ( merino jersey) (1 knitted) and 2 knitted ones coming in the post.

I am going to buy Lansinoh cause I remember it being wonderful stuff for sore nips in the early days. Last time the free sample they gave me hospital was plenty enough. This time I need to buy some but knowing that I will need to lanolise the wool covers every so often I dont know what size tube to buy because I dont know how often you need to treat them or how much you use. So assuming I dont need heaps for my nipples again, what do you suggest? A 7g ($8) tube or the 56g ($22) tube?

If its just for your nappies a little one willlast ages, You only need like pea size amount to do your woolies. I usually use about a big pea to do 3 or 4 soakers.

A hot tip for all Lanisoh users... ask your chemist for generic anhydrous lanolin. It's EXACTLY the same stuff as Lanisoh and is at least 1/2 the price.
