    Panadol Stains

    Hi

My little boy had a week on panadol and i didn't think much of it until I was sorting his MCN and found grey stains still on them that hadn't sunned out (not that we've had much sun here in Tas over the past week or so) Does anyone have any advice on how to get rid of the stains?? It's very noticable on his lushies and bamboo nappies

Oh tell me about it! WHERE IS SUMMER??!?!

I haven't had any luck getting the panadol stains out They fade a little mroe over time, best thing is to line them next time you will be using panadol.

I know.......damn sun! I've taken to hanging mine out for as long as it takes to dry them....takes 3 days sometimes!!

I have no clue, haven't had this problem *yet* although I line my nappies.

    Hope you find a cure!

Liners won't always help prevent panadol stains - they are not necessarily just caused by poo, but by wee too. All of my panadol stained nappies are from wee - but they have always faded after a few washes.

We use nurafen instead now if we have to give him something, and don't have any problems with stained nappies.

The grey stains will eventually fade out so be patient

Suppose it helps when you are in a part of Aus that gets sun

Missymoo - it's the UV that does the job - so even on an overcast day there's still benefit in hanging them outside - admittedly not as much as a bright sunny day, but it still helps.

    Thanks for the help guys

I always use microfleece liners so it's more a case of the stains coming from urine.

Hopefully sometime soon the weather will realise that it's meant to be summer - not winter here in Tas... We still haven't hit the 20*C mark consistantly yet!! Augh!!!

I'm very naughty, I have rubbed some napisan onto the boosters (not the PUL part) that got it out first wash.

Oooh I wonder if a dose of napisan on the fitteds would be ok - there are no stains on the AIO's that I've notices, just the bambo fitteds.. hmmmm might shoot some emails off to the stores/makers.....

From what I know napisan can have an effect on the PUL lining and elastic and some babes react to it with nappy rash. I figure I use napisan on other items without issues, I would say it would be fine on fitteds
