Bamboo terry - Double or singe sided?

Just wondering what the difference is really
I've got a sample of each and think I like the double more. Are there differences in function etc?

ETA - Oh, I'm planning to make flat nappies, which I'll fold up and use as pocket stuffers later (if I get round to making the pockets)

You will trade absorbency for bulk if that makes sense. The double sided is like a towel and is thirty but unfortunately bulky and I think it would be too thick for a pocket stuffer. I didn't use bamboo terry for a pocket stuffer but I did use a terry flat and it was pretty dodgy

The single sided reminds me of french terry (ie like non fluffy windcheater material) with a slightly longer pile. The single sided is great for prefolds as you can use a snappy with it. I had great success with prefolds using the bamboo french terry for the outer and for the inner and extra layer used standard bamboo fleece and not terry. I still use the prefolds in pocket nappies for R and they are more than adequate Just thinking how I've had 19 months use from about $50 worth of fabric makes me smile!

Yeah, I was wondering if they'd fit, which is why I added that in.
How absorbent would a flat be made from the single terry? DS was a heavy wetter. We started out with flannel anppies but switched to coton terry very early as the flannel was just no good. Would the single terry be similar to the old-style cotton terry nappies for absorbency? (but less bulky obviously)

On it's own I wouldn't think it would be absorbent enough. It's quite stretchy (a bit of a bugger to sew because of it) and a stiffer fabric helps it to keep shape. It's also more expensive than the bamboo fleece which is why I made it the way I did and TBH if it was snappiable I would have made plain bamboo fleece prefolds.

Yeah, showed it to my mum and she stretched it out and said "Mmmm, Quite stretchy" Damn. I want it snappiable!
I think I might have to amend my plans....
