Which is the best snap press?

I am wanting to buy a snap press.

There is the popular Aussie site that sells them with the die and 400 snaps with free post for $120, Im not sure what brand the press is, but it looks good and solid.

I have come across a NZ site that sells Kam presses. You need to buy the die and snaps additional, but it still is alot cheaper than the Australian one. Only problem is, the postage of an item of its weight is quite a bit! But its still works out quite a good deal even when you do have to pay the post, (press + die +400 snaps = $67 + $40 Post) they also have fantastic prices and great selection (compared with aussie online nappy supply shops) on fabric etc, so I could buy a load of stuff but the postage is going to be about $45. ($20 if I just buy the fabrics and not the press).

I dont know much about snap presses - are they all just the same, are some brands to be avoided - do you pay for what you get????
Please help - I want to do some shopping and get making stuff, but trying to work out what the better option is.
Is there something you should be looking for or considering when buying a snap press?

Where ever I get one from, I dont want to spend the money and have something that breaks in a year or doesnt work very well etc.

Both Snaps Australia and greenbeans sell KAM presses....they just sell slightly different "models" for want of a better term. I have the one from greenbeans as after some research I decided it was ergonomically better designed than the other one. I also have some Aussie friends who have seen it and agree that it seems to be easier to snap with than the one they have. If you look at them on one the handle is more on the top and on the other one is more to the side (back) providing better leverage when snapping. The thing is though whchevr one you choose make sure to get the die sets from the same place as the press as they both take different dies. Having said that snaps from both sellers are interchangable and will work equally well in both presses...Hope that helps!!

Melbel's snap machine bites mine from snap in the butt BIG TIME Salsa....the one from snaps is big and hurts my hands after a while while Mel's is nice and small. The one from snaps is also double the size of the greenbeans one.

Wish I would have know about the one at greenbeans before I bought mine from snaps...

    Thanks guys!!
I ordered the greenbeans one last week and Dh put it together for me last night.
I also ordered 2 sz bits, 16 and 20 and some bamboo etc. Have been cutting out and sewing the past few days and will try snapping in the next day or 2. Im looking forward to other things I can make too (which is why I got the 2 szs). Even with the more expensive post (about $50NZ AU$ 70 including the fabric etc) its already working out cheaper than buying all readymade naps.
Thanks for suggesting and confirming the greenbeans.
