Really can't justify the outlay of a big one as I won't use it that often but am looking at the Kam handheld one for a few nappies and some other odds and ends.
Depends on how many nappies you are going to make! Less than 10 fair enough but if you're looking at a full stash of 30 -40 then it's worth it and you can sell it off when you're done
Do you have to have snaps or will velcro suffice?
nah, I hate sewing with velcro and applix...I have plenty, but I'm quite over it.
I was thinking of all the other stuff as well that I could use it for....plus side snappers are the best fit on DS and applix doesn't work for them lol.
That said, I doubt I'd ever get around to a full stash...so maybe this is the right thing for me.
I've got the big Kam press, MIL bought it and gave it to me, and I have found all sorts of things that I use it for that I hadn't thought of as originally we got it for nappies, but since I have used it for gowns for NICU, Flanelette PJ's for DD, enclosures for little bags, the straps on pinafores, bibs, it even snaps through velcro, so if you have some bibs where the velcro is getting a bit fluffy, you can just put snaps on them
