    Some more silly questions ..

I can get my hands on some good quality microfibre peachskin ... what can I use it for Diaper inners, or diaper outers???

And if I find a fabric that is water resistant (100% polyester) that would not be suitable for a cover, right? I thought so

I'm really doing my head in atm. There is so many choices and options out there and I only have limited avalible to me. I'm getting a bit confussed also .....

when using polarfleece as a diaper inner, do you put it right side against the baby's bottom, so that it can let the wetness through, but not back on the the skin?????

No hon your not...but let me explain a little thing for ya......there's a lot of work involved in sourcing fabrics, patterns, workings of fabrics ect as you would be well aware of now.......alot of people put alot of time into this and many would be annoyed by someone who in their eye's wants to step in and take the easy way out.....and its mostly WAHM's that have the knowledge of things your asking and they are very hesitant in spilling anything out (yes me included) as it has been known to come back and bite us on the bum.

Please dont think Im being nasty..Im not Im just trying to explain how many people think about making MCN's and about giving advice.

Thanks for the reply Maz. OMG Maz , you are really being a huge biatch - NOOOOOT Thank you for clearing that up for me I totally understand your last paragraph. It's just so hard to do this when there are no real support around here. Like I asked the lady at the fabric shop yesterday if they had some microfleece and she pointed at the polarfleece and said: "Yes, check there" So after crawling around on the floor (litterly) I asked another one and I got a "what-you-talking-about" look. Some of these fabrics just are not availible to me, or too darn expensive. Like I would LOVE to make some stuff with Minky (those bubble dots one looks just devine), but I can't find it!!! Other than online and then they charge me my two front teeth for the postage
    Sorry - rant over.

as it has been known to come back and bite us on the bum.
I'm so sorry to hear. I would just like to let you know (and other WAHMs) that I DO NOT use patterns that does not clearly state that I may use it as I wish (even for reselling) and I did BUY a pattern from Canada for my AIO's that I am going to make. And I'm in the process of making my own pattern for a simple cheaper option than a fitted diaper.
I respect the work that ppl put into this, I'm begining to find out exactly how much work that is.

I've touched some peachskin at the shop yesterday and no, I won't use that in diapers.
And yes, I've been on google .. the info on there is sometimes just a tad bit contradictory (sp)

Thanks again Maz Thanks a zillion

Nadine..firstly Phew.....I feel better now knowing you understand .gotta ask you though hon...were are you? Australia or the US cause you keep saying diapers and mom so im gather the US. Do you realise most of us 'aussies' import our fabrics form the US..and as Syke said all on line..minkee, quilters cottons, maybe not bamboo fleece but its so much mroe cheaper to buy from the US. EG some quilters cottons can be $30 per mt here and you'll pay $10 US including postage to your door from over there.

Its a big eye opener when you start maknig your own as yourve now experienced.....you really dont realise how much love and effort goes into a nappy until you do it yourself......which reminds me..ive gotta do some work tonight

I'm hoping to get some sewing done also tonight ... will think of you then

I'm in South Africa - bugger. Third world nation that are SOOOO behind in everything hip and cloth diapering related. I can get PUL diaper cuts, Minky, Bamboo fleece, Touch tape, elastic ect enough for about 6 diapers from NZ, but shipping cost almost double the actual goods, so not really an option for me. I am however keeping my eyes and ears open for ANYONE going to the US or Aus, maybe I can slip some in a suitcace

$10 US including postage to your door from over there
OMG - gotta know what site that is, pretty please *giving you puppy eyes*
