Covers for newborn - using prefolds

I got the mio covers - tried them out first on DD#1 and they were great for her, but the thick velcro waist band is really digging into DD#2. She has seriously explosive poos and lots of them so I need a really good containment cover. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I used Mio covers (with their prefolds and also my own) and Bummis... I had a few BBH covers that i used too, these were slightly better as they were a bit bigger.
Luckily MJ almost always did her explosive poo when her nappy had just come off, so i didnt have too much trouble...
