Medical Dr. Acupuncture, Gold Coast

Does anyone know of a medical Dr who practices acupuncture for pregnancy around the Gold Coast?

I have a posterior baby I would like to try to spin around and I've tried other techniques but baby has been in this same position for months now, no matter what I do.

I don't really care if it's a medical doctor, as long as the practitioner is highly recommended. I am interested in how much a session would cost, though, and I'd have to be able to get in with fairly short notice.

Kuraiza, I am on the coast and I have been to CompMed Health Institute in Southport. (9 Bay Street) they are fanstatic, highly recommended and you can claim most of it on private health insurance if you have it (a session leaves you out of pocket like $14 if you have private health). They also work with IVF patients to maximise success rates hope this helps.

How much does it cost before rebate? Are they medical doctors?

My private health insurance is hospital only, no extras so won't cover acupuncture.

Hi there,

I go to compmed in Southport. You should see John there. He is absolutely amazing. I well known for his fertillty work and I hear he is good at helping in pregnancies too. I think it is around $65 for a visit but you do get a lot back with private insurance.

I would highly recommend John.

Sorry, just read your post again. He isn't a Dr but has done a lot of study. Regarding the cost, yeah it's hard without insurance. My limit has been reached now, but I still try and find the money to go as I really benefit from seeing him.
