    Question Natural Treatments for Acne

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has scene a naturopath for the acne? I have bad skin and at the moment I am on an antibiotic but I don't want to be on it forever so am looking for a more natural alternative. Has anyone had success using natural methods?

    If so please share.

    Thanks in advance

DH had great success with handmade soaps. Chemical/medicated cleansers etc were making his skin worse. He had terrible acne on his face, shoulders and legs.

He now makes his own soap just out of plant oils and hasn't had a problem since.

I think you'd have lots of success if you saw a naturopath or traditional chinese medicine practitioner for nutritional and hormonal support. There are lots of really powerful nutrients that can support the skins healing and boost the immune system, plus balance your hormones. Even stress can play a part in skin conditions.

i used to take a homeophathic remedy you can buy in most health food shops that i feel really helped... its called Schuessler tissue salts combination D (skin disorders)... its homeopathic so totally safe with no contra-indications.... you chew or disolve a couple of tablets in your mouth, they have none to little taste, just a bit chalky... you can take 2 in the morning, 2 at night, or if i was having a bad outbreak, i would take them every half hour for 24 hours (safe to do so)... they are about $10 - worth a shot!!

Thanks for all of your replies, I will look into them. I am also contemplating going to see a naturopath soon as well.
