    Gestation vs Weight

As I'm a curious little one, am wondering what gestation and how much your lil one/s weighed.

Brendan: 30+1 weeks 1545 grams (82%ile for gestational age)
Tristan: 34+3 weeks 3090 grams (off the top of the chart for gestational age, 25%ile for actual age)

N was born at 33 weeks 4 days @ 2350grams and was on the 75th%ile which is what we were told, we also got questions asking if she was further along, but when you are charting you know your dates and all her early scans said the same, I just grew a good sized bubba

I found this information which I really interesting, it shows the average weight for gestation, I found the same chart or very similar versions in a few different locations, no wonder they were asking if she was a couple of weeks further along as N's weight was between the average for a 34/35 weeker as was her length

Gestational age... Length (cm)........ Mass (g)

    22 weeks........... 27.8cm ...........430grams
    23 weeks........... 28.9cm ...........501grams
    24 weeks........... 30cm ...........600grams
    25 weeks........... 34.6cm ...........660grams
    26 weeks........... 35.6cm ...........760grams
    27 weeks........... 36.6cm ...........875grams
    28 weeks........... 37.6cm ...........1005grams
    29 weeks........... 38.6cm ...........1153grams
    30 weeks........... 39.9cm ...........1319grams
    31 weeks........... 41.1cm ...........1502grams
    32 weeks........... 42.4cm ...........1702grams
    33 weeks........... 43.7cm ...........1918grams
    34 weeks........... 45cm ...........2146grams
    35 weeks........... 46.2cm ...........2383grams
    36 weeks........... 47.4cm ...........2622grams

It's great to see that chart, thanks Beema!

    Sam was 36 weeks exact - 2.48kg and 48cm

And they were telling me he was going to be huge - yet he's below the average for his gestation.

He's certainly made up for it now - over 12kg at 14 months old.

Remember that the weights in the chart above are the average, as in 50th %ile Someone needs to make up the bottom 50% and someone needs to make the top 50%

WOW he was a great size!

Beema, Little Miss is doing so well now! I need to get some digital scales which give and accurate reading for Brendan.
