    Hello Sally!
Yep, they did say that he would have been huge at term, at least 4 kg...
I'm sure that his weigh has helped him a lot in his first months!

Beema - I think that celebration cake may just be his birthday cake! Everyone was so proud of him at NICU follow-up clinic today. I'll have to write up his story one day, just brings me to tears everytime I read his discharge summary.....

Sally - Hope Tristan cracks the 7kg mark! Go Tristan Go!

    DS1 - 34+6 - 1.9 kilos 41cm
(normal should have been 34 weeks........... 45cm ...........2146grams)

    DS2 - 41+2 - 4.58 kilos 58cm
(normal should have been 42 weeks........... 51.5cm ...........3685grams)

At the ages of nearly 7 and four, they are 1cm apart in height (the older one is slightly taller) and DS1 weighs 20.0 kilos, DS2 weighs 22.4 kilos... and they both wear size 7 clothes. DS1 is a tiny meeny, DS2 a whopper...

Hope this newly baking one is also a good size, but we won't need to find out until he's born at 40 weeks......lol

My 1st son but second baby was born at 36 weeks and he weighed 2500g, we spent a week in special care and as soon as we got home he put on so much weight in the first 2 weeks he was out of newborn nappies.

Our 2nd son was born at 20 weeks and weighed 196g, its not on the chart but I was told at the time that he was quite small for that gestation.

But I think I just have rather small babies as my first was born at 40wks exactly and weighed 2900g and my 4th was born at 40+6 days and weighed 2842g and 50cms.

My DD was 29 + 6 weeks and weighed in at 1707g. She was a biggun for her gestational age according to the charts. They had told us that at hospital as well.

She is now 71/2 months and on the home scales has just hit 7kg. She has a muffin top belly and lovely chubby cheeks. We often call her our little buddha.

    Nixon was 33+3 weeks and was 2.296kg (5lb 1oz)
    Tyron was 38+3 weeks and was 3.450kg (7lb 10oz)

that chart is interesting i know many 40 week bubs that weighed more than 3.5kg!

At "almost" 4 Nixon weight 17.8kg and is approx 106cm tall! (almost 8 times his birth weight) he is decevingly heavy!

Nixon is tall and a brilliant weight! He's doing so well now

that chart is interesting i know many 40 week bubs that weighed more than 3.5kg!!
That'd be because the chart is based on the 50th %ile some bubbas need to be above and some below hehe.

So we had an ultrasound at 26weeks and this bub is measuring at 918gms!! Hopefully he is continually growing and going to be huge by the time he is born in a couple of weeks (hopefully at least 28 weeks).

As Sal said in the earlier post - Charlie was 1287gms at 28+6weeks. He has just turned 18months (15months corrected) and weighs 12.5kg - he's a beautiful big buffa!!!
