I hate how sick they get

This winter has been terrible already with a hospital admission for DD3 (my 28 weeker) which she still has a horrid cough 5 weeks later and we are now on hospital alert with my DS4 (25 weeker).
It just truly breaks my heart that they have had to go through so much in there short little life times. (I know there is much worse)
My tiny premmies seem to suffer so much more than the others...it just eats me up that my body failed them and left them so vulnerable.
I just hate seeing them so sick...again

hun, that really does suck.... Squid's little bubby is back at hossy again too, so I know they understand and I get a knowledge from them at how damn hard it is and how often and long these things can go on for premmie bubbies. I hope that they both mend fast and get stronger soon. xoxo

It's really, really tough, that first winter with DS1 was just horrendous, so many hospital admissions, stopping breathing etc. Remember, as they get older, their lung tissue starts to replace more of the damaged stuff from all the ventilation etc so they will both get stronger the older they get.
Doesn't make it any easier when they go into hospital though.....

Hun its not your fault so please stop blaming yourself and seeing yourself in such a negative light. You are an amazing mother and its very challenging being a mummy to such little babies, they are lucky to have one so devoted and caring. I hope they recover quickly. Love to you

I'm sorry sweets that your little ones have to suffer so much now. As Sally2 said, it will get better as they get more mature lung tissue later on. Big hugs lovely and you are doing a fantastic job, those kidlets have the best mummy in the world.

    Poor poor u.
If u don't mind me asking now early is too early for a premmie?
Anything under 37 weeks is too early. It's no fun having a sick child premature child.
It can be hell on Earth. Especially getting your child ripped out and away from you.
Having your little one go into surgery. Ventilated. Morphine withdrawel.

How have your little ones been going over the winter, Rainbow?
DD made it through OK cold-wise, although she appeared to have a mass in her bowel the other day and we were going to put her in hospital as she couldn't poo and was straining alot. But, she managed to poop and the mass is gone.
Off to see her surgeon next week for he 9 month surgical review.
As it might be with your littlest one, bowel obstructions are always a very real possiblity.

Big hugs hun. Its really awful with the littles when they are so sick. We are the same boat with DS2 in and out of hospital and really underweight. You just what you can hun. Our thoughts are with you.
