Hi Girls

At 30wks gestation Kameron stopped growing in Utero. I had an appointment early on the firday afternoon and then a huge storm came over and Andrew my DH said to me "no way in your life are you driving in these conditions", so I had to ring up and re-book later that day. My appointment was for 6pm and that is when I was told that my baby was small for how many weeks along I was, and I needed and U/sound.

I was mad, cause i would have had one right then and there if I had gone to my appointment later in the day but now had to wait till the monday morning. I spent most of the weekend crying on and off the only thing reassuring me was the baby kicking.

Had the u/sound monday morning and results came back and I was told to prepare for a small baby. 6lb or less. The heartbeat etc was all good but I had to go back and have u/sounds every 2 weeks, so they could monitor the baby. At 37 weeks there was no great change in size and I was admitted for 4 hours (which turned into 7) for high blood pressure. It was during that time I was told come back in 24 hours cause we are going to induce you as the baby will do better on the outside.

So at 37wks and 6 days I gave birth to exactly 6lb Kameron. He had to spend a couple of days in neo-natal as he had low blood sugar levels and if he came down for visiting hours no one was allowed to pick him up. He then also got jaundice so was under lights and his tests from that showed the levels dropping so he was allowed home on conditions he slept by a bright sunlight window during the days.

After a small rough patch at the start he is now fit and healthy.
