Need advice!

Hi Girls! I think this section is the one that is most qualified to help me
I am 33 1/2 weeks and have been having "tightenings" for the past few days. My DS was born 32 weeks with my waters breaking so I have never really done the labour thing
I have been to the hospital and they kept me for 2 days cos the contractions got to 3 mins apart but still not painful... just there! I guess what I want to know is if anyone else experienced this before having their baby, are they going to die down or just stay about 10 mins apart for the next 6 weeks? I have had the steroid injection to strengthen bubbas lungs so I know if I do go into labour they wont stop it! But you know doctors they won't give you a straight answer... am I likely that over the next couple of weeks these "tightenings" will get stronger untill I'm in full blown labour? Or will they go away?
Has anyone else experienced this? What happened?

With Brendan my waters broke first also... I was told that my waters will more than likely always break before going into labour.

Tristan proved that dr wrong... I went into spontaneous labour at 26 weeks, which they stopped, but continued to have contractions and the tightenings with back pain until he was born at 34+3, again after spontaneous labour (they artificially broke my waters at the end of Stage One labour)
