Has anyone else with a prem baby felt constantly confused about what to expect next and where their baby should be developmentally.
George was born at 33 weeks, he spent 4 weeks in the hospital and has been home for 5 weeks now. The first 2 weeks were really tough - sleep, settling and feeding wise, but then it started to get better. Then he hit his due date, and it has gone downhill again.
We are feeling a bit cheated, like we are getting a double dose of the newborn stage, without seeing much development - we are very tired!
What you are experiencing is very normal and quite common amongst premmies. For most, development goes by corrected age (his age had he been born on his due date) until around 2 years old.
So confusing...
