    Where to buy?

My SIL's sister has a teeny tiny baby in Hospital.. He was born at 27 weeks a couple of weeks ago..

The hospital doesn't have enough tiny booties and beanies and the parents are in need of some for their little boy..

where can you buy these from? I looked on ebay but I wasn't sure if they would be small enough. Some of the sizes were for 3lb-5lb. He is almost a kilo now which I think it around 2lb..

Anyway can any of you lovely ladies help me out?

    Thanks Nic

3lb6oz is 1.5kg - I hope that helps in regards to size.

I *might* have some beanies from Brendan's stay... will have to have a look if you are interested. Might even have some booties.

Other than that, I agree with asking to see if someone can knit some.

Which hospital is bub in? I can see if someone I know would be of some help in gathering some to take in and leave at the NICU desk for her

I know it sounds odd but would the baby born hats and booties fit? They are pretty small dolls I am pretty sure and at least it'd keep bubs warm.

Dd had a couple of baby born things, they came from the local market and were very well made.

Pumpkin patch used to do a premie range, I'm not sure if they still do.

Pumpkin Patch premmie stuff is enormous, would no way fit a 1kg baby. Early Birds have a fantastic range, and you can buy it online. The size guide is very easy to understand too. The hospital obviously need some more knitted stuff though.

I'll let Beema know about this thread, she has alot of premmie contacts.

In the waiting room outside our NICU there is a massive basket of tiny knitted hats for premmies, from the very tiny to the larger sizes, I was only there on the weekend and I could have grabbed some for you, because they have an abundance and are giving them away.

If I go in again soon I will get some and send them on, I do have a quilt to drop off which I have been meaning to do for a while... I will also see what else I can round up, the Early Birds range is lovely, but quite pricey, there are some more out there I just have to have a think
