Angelcare monitor question - the two monitors are communicating.

For some reason my angelcare monitor has stopped working. It is only 5 months old. The parent monitor just flashes with "--" and the nursery monitor icon flashes. On the troubleshooting page it says that this is because the nursery monitor is turned off.....which it isn't! Any ideas as to how I can get the two talking again??? There is no customer service number that I can find anywhere so your help would be appreciated.
