    Question 3 in 1 Cot

    Hi all,
has anyone brought or been looking at the cot that turns into the todler bed then day bed?? i love this idea as its something they can keep for them selfs. what cot has every one got and where did you get it? i have my bassinet already so i have a bit of time before i need one, i think the boori cots are cute, altho they are in average of $700-$1000 you dont have to purchase another bed for around 5 years..... please need advice and guidance as this will be my first major purchase not done on ebay..

I've heard that boori aren't as good as they used to be so I'd look around at some other ones. Sorry not really helpful but just giving you a heads up about boori

I think there is a brand called Kingparrot that do the same thing but are a bit cheaper than the Boori. I personally would buy a nice but cheaper cot and then a bed, both of mine went to a bed at 17 mths and 2 years with no problems but that is just me.

We have a Boori cot that we're really pleased with, but opted for the 2 in 1 in the end thinking we'd prefer to get either a toddler bed or bed guests could also sleep in after the cot. The extra cost of the 3 in 1 just didn't seem worth it.

ETA: Boori and kingparrot are the same company and the cots are very very similar. We have friends with kingparrot cots where I can't see the difference between them and our Boori - I think if I had my time again I'd but the kingparrot and save a bit of money

We purchased a Boori sleigh 3 in 1 cot for my DS. He is 4 in May and still sleeps in it! It was a great investment and has lasted 4 years so I think that's pretty good. We are expecting baby No. 2 in November and he/she will use the same bed but converted back into a cot again and our DS will get a single bed.

I think a 2 in 1 would be teh same concept. I doubt that we will use this as a couch when No. 2 outgrows it.

The extra drawer for storage under the cot is a bonus too.

I saw one on ebay that went from a cot, to a toddler bed to a double bed... I thought that was pretty neat

I bought a 3-in-1 - have no idea how useful it will be as it is still sitting in its box!!

I bought the Bertini Renaissance from a seconds factory for $250 after looking around in shops and at reviews online. It seemed to get good reviews, and it seemed to be comparable to the Boori, just a whole lot cheaper.
