Hi Squidipa
We were going to buy this when we had our DD, but decided not to in the end. Basically because I preferred the idea of putting her in a little bed when she was a toddler, rather then a double bed. We had a hunt around for a similar product but couldn't find one.
Worth the money I think, if you get plenty of use out of it at each of the stages. But didn't quite suit us.
Happy shopping!
we got the one which went from cot to todler bed to day seat its a boori one. think its teh kingparrot.
its very nice, but we couldnt see teh use of teh double bed and figure by the time she is big enough for a double bed she will want to choose her own bed.
we looked at those for Darcy, but decided against them.
For less than what it cost I got a basic cot and a chiropractic single ensemble (and would have had left over $$$). In hindsight I'm glad we didn't as she outgrew her cot before she was 2 (and refused to sleep in it at 16months anyways) so the toddler option was wasted plus we would never have used the other bed options.
Great cot I guess if you get the use.
we too spent crazy $$$$ on a boori cot that I just "had to have" it's a 3 in 1 I think. big waste of money as when it came to bed for Charlie I decided to buy a decent big bed that he will have for a long time & one that fits with the look of his room. He's also a big boy for his age & wouldn't fit comfortably in it as a toddler bed & to top things off he's destroyed it with banging his bottle & teeth marks....nothing we did to stop him could & I wouldn't even sell it for a $100 second hand it looks so trashed. So I wish I'd just got a cot from somewhere like IKEA then spent $$$ on a good mattress & saved for the nice big bed.
We almost bought the Boori cot which is a cot, toddler bed and day bed all in one and yes, it is strong enough for an adult to sit on. We decided against it as we didn't think we'd use the day bed. Instead we opted for another Boori cot (the Classic) which converts to a toddler bed.
We also quickly looked at the 4-in-1 Boori cot but I'd much prefer to get our children a propper double bed than use a converted cot when they're old enough for a double bed. But like others have said, cots get damaged over the years and by the time my kids are ready or allowed to have a double bed, I don't think they'll want a converted, possibly damaged cot.
