    any good sales?

Does anyone know of good sales on at the moment, with baby stuff?

These are the things I still need to get, none very expensive on their own but I reckon they'll add up to enough, especially the bras. Does anyone know where these might be on sale after Christmas? I'm all for buying things on sale if I can...

-- couple of weeks or a month worth of disposable nappies
-- 20 all in one or pocket nappies or something (still not sure of the brand I want to get)
-- wipes and cream for nappy changing
    -- portable change mat
    -- nappy bucket
    -- bags for dirty nappies
    -- couple of bottles
-- storage containers for frozen expressed milk
    -- breast pads
    -- maternity bras
    -- bibs
    -- baby thermometer
    -- nail scissors

I know Woolworths (or Safeway in victoria) had Huggies nappies on sale 2 boxes for $66 on Christmas eve. And Toys r us sent out an email saying their disposable nappies were on sale too.

For the maternity bras I know I have picked up some for $10-20 with the discontinued styles at Myer when they have a sale. Only problem is they are limited in sizes/ colours. Sometimes with the % off sales too you can save $$$. Definately check out the bigger department stores.

I have found Big W usually has the best prices for nappy sacks and other baby paraphernalia. Formula included if needed.

Breast pads - very personal choice. I preferred pigeon... Until I discovered my wool breast pads. So soothing on tender nipples. About $20/pair from mothers direct but you might be able to find some cheaper from a wahm. The reusable minkee breastpads made by maz are also supposed to be a winner. You might find you don't leak much and may not need them. I didn't leak but I just needed the padding to soothe my nipples. Plus it was winter and hte wool kept them warm. I think I had some vasospasm too.

I love the Tommee Tippe Closer to nature bottles. Especially if you are planning to breastfeed. My bub had attaching with the other types but I am still breastfeeding yet give maybe one bottle of formula a day. When they are little and you use EBM it is sad when you lose a few mls down the bottom as bub can't get it out but they are so worth it. Check out Target etc they often have % off nursery/ tommee tippee etc.

You could suggest to your mum/other family a nice present would be 20 bibs and a baby manicure set
Good luck and I hope you manage to find some bargains
