As title suggests I'm looking at getting the Gro Egg room thermometer to use as a night light for my 2 year old. He's used to a great night light on top of his Angelcare Monitor but I need that for his soon-to-be-arriving baby brother
Does it throw much light into the room? It looks like it would but wanted to be sure before I bought it online. It needs to be enough for him to find his teddy, cars etc during the night.
Not sure about how good the gro egg is but have you seen the Gro night light clock? It's really cute, you can adjust the brightness and it teaches about when it's time to get up etc.
I was in exactly the same sito as you re the angel care night light!! I was looking at getting one of those gro eggs for my 22 month olds room as a night light but ended up with a himalayan salt lamp. In throws out a really nice soft glow, enough to see everything yet the room is still dark, plus they have lots of health benefits too. I have one for baby's room as well because I thought they'd be nice to breastfeed by rather than a full on lamp or switching all the lights on
I get mine from a supplier off eBay, if you're interested I can pm you the details
We've got the Gro Clock and it is great! Still working on getting DS to stay in bed till the sun comes up, but he does get the concept. They are a bit exxy for what the are, but still a great product!
We have a gro egg, not much light comes from it, the girls have a kinderglo nightlight each, we love them, we charge them in our room and then give them too them they last up to 2 nights before charging again and they change colours we got them in Kmart for $12 on sale in the kids light/cushion section. You can look them up on facebook too! we have 2 cute little dino's
We have the GroEgg. I love it for the room temp purpose, but like the others have said it doesn't throw off much light.
Helle, would you mind PMing me with details of the salt lamp too please
Babyluv, I was looking atht eh wall plug in ones too but DS bed is right up against the power point and I didn't want the night light rubbing against his bedding incase I started a fire so I had to go with the lamp instead. Not that it's a bad thing, i think they're lovely! Have thought about getting one to plug into the kitchen tho for when he's a bit older and can get up and fetch his own drinks or goes to the loo and stuff but haven't gotten around to it yet. probably should before they disapear!
