    Baby Jogger City Select

    Hello,
    After much thought I've decided to buy the Baby Jogger City Select.
    Looking to hear from those who bought online from the US (Country Moose Kids etc.)
    I've read on some forums people have said that their safety standards wouldn't comply with Australian standards... what do you think about this? I'm not overly concerned about the warranty but a little nervous about safety. Is the version you ordered from the US exactly the same as the city select available in Australia? It's definitely a good saving even with the weak dollar will be saving a few hundred $$
    Any thoughts welcomed!
    Thanks =)

    I would advise that you get it in Aus, only as mentioned the safety standards are a little different, ie break colour and hand strap,(thats all i can think of otherwise ex the same!)

    also if you have any warrenty issues you will need to deal with US, and that may cost more to send back and forth for a simple problem.

    The wait is about 12 weeks now from what i have heard from BJ facebook page.

    Im still waiting and have been for a while.

    I know i bought a carseat from Canada.. and it has a cheststrap on it and carseats dont here.. same as the pram I got.. had a chest strap..
    There safety standards in the USA I find much stricter then here I found... look at teh difference online... might not be any different.

    the AUS safety standards (since 2009??) for prams basically mean that they have red brakes and a tether strap. other countries do not require the brakes to be red and some dont need to have a tether strap on the handlebar. the pram i bought for DD in Oz in 2007 for example doesnt have red brakes, but the double i bought last week does...

    if you do buy from US the warranty is an issue, as you would need to go through them rather than the AUS distributor. as for the tether strap you can actually buy them separately and attach it yourself. not sure how good they are or if they are as effective, but worth investigating i guess!
