    Baby Swings

    Hello!
I am looking to get a baby swing for imminent bub (well, and me and DH if it gives us more sleep!)and wondered what your experiences of them were? Did you get much use out of them and which models do you recommend? I like the look of the Mamas and Papas (and you've got to love the ipod link!) but read that there is an issue with strapping in baby.....
    Can you help?!

I have the graco swing. I bought mine from ebay brand new.. It doesn't lay flat for a newborn but was nice and compact and we used i a fair bit. It was taken with us when we went to inlaws places ect..

I personally don't like the big swings as they are only good for home use..

I like the papasan one though more for looks then anything

and yes I think they are a great idea

ETA: I used mine in the middle of the night when bub just wanted to be held and I just needed that space kwim? He was happy to be in the swing and I stayed up but was able to read or play on the net.

I just bought the fisher price power plus swing because it plugs into the wall. I had a battery operated one with my middle son and it chewed through a ton of batteries and therefore a ton of money!!!
