best stroller under $500

my first child is due in march. I want to get a stroller under $500
any reccomendations? i've been reading good things about steelcraft strider deluxe and steelcraft cruiser.

What is important to you in a stroller?
Do you want to be able to stuff lots of things into the baskets and so on? Do you need it to be easy to lift out of the car? These two things do not generally go together!

We have a Maclaren Techno XT, which is very light and has thus far been terrific - but it does not hold much in the way of shopping!

but definitely want it to be light
