Borders & stickers - more trouble than they're worth?

Meeee again... gettin' right into decorating my beoooootiful nursery with my Zanzibar theme. I've seen the Kidsline wallpaper border, and various ppls suggest stickers... but are they a right pain to get off later? I don't know how well painted the room is (we didn't paint it)... but I DO know that there's LIME GREEN paint underneath the cream paint... so I really don't want my top level paint to come off!

(Bearing in mind that DH AIN'T a "handy" type, so we'd prefer not to have to do any serious fixing up later on)

I'm leaning towards getting a couple of the kidsline little picture thingies & stuff like that to decorate (mebbe a bit safer than sticky things), but would love to hear what others have done!

    TIA!

    Hey
We have Humphries Corner stick-arounds (not sure what company make them, could be kidsline) and they are AWESOME!
They are designed so you can actually take them off and reuse them. They are easy enough to come off, the stickiness isnt sticky as such, but it more kinda grips, if that makes sense?
Any way, we have had to take a few off to reposition them when we put them up, mainly the big ones, and no paint came off, no marks either. I have on the odd occasion tested them recently, and havent had an issue.

We've moved a couple of times in DS' short life and had to remove the stickers - easy peasy, they peel off beautifully, no marks on the wall. Mind you they do lose their stickiness after this happens a couple of times so we've now gone out and bought new ones.

The only damage is to some of the stickers - one brand we found the ink on the stickers flaked as we peeled it off the wall and sometimes if we were rushing a couple of them tore.

No damage or marks to the paintwork on the wall at all.

Only problem is that DS has watched us take the stickers off the wall and has remembered so we have had to put the replacement stickers out of his reach! He kept coming out of his room with a sticker from his wall stuck to his tummy.

I think it depends on the brand hun and your paint! I just bought Izzy these gorgeous butterfly and flower stickers that weren't too excy like some I've seen and they last ONE night. Im too scared to try even the dearer ones now but Im sure they would be better! Good luck hun!

The stickers we had came off really easily and the paint was fine. The problem was they came off too easily - DS1 has gone through two lots and we decided not to put any more up. The ones in DS2's room are still there - minus 1 that DS1 pulled off! They work well until the kids are old enough to pull them off - although that might just me my DS and not a universal problem LOL!
