Brand new ergo carrier vs 2nd hand ergo carrier?

Hi all, just wondering if there is any benefit to getting an ergo carrier brand new, rather than getting it cheaper second hand from somewhere like ebay? Obviously a brand new one might be cleaner, but are they really any different other than that? I'm just worried that they have changed over time and that a brand new one might be better than a second hand one...

second hand is fine! If i needed another i'd get it second hand.

Just be careful on Ebay for fake Ergo's, I know there were some a little while back. Other than that I think second hand is fine!
