    Breastfeeding Pillow

    Hello All,

I was just wondering if anyone has used a breastfeeding pillow? Are they worth it? Are they really better than just using a boomerang pillow etc? I BF both DD and DS without one, but I'm thinking of getting one for this bub... I think with bub number 3 I'm struggling to find new and interesting things to buy (terrible I know!)

    WDYT?

Juliette, some people find breastfeeding pillow helpful, especially if they are large breasted. However to be really useful they should be individually sized for the mum. Most mums feed fine without one, and one of the advantages of not getting used to using one is that it is easier to feed out and about without one.

Have you thought about getting a new sling?

I used the boomarang pillow and found it to do the job well. Cost me $20 at Kmart!

I bought a milkbar on the cheap from ebay, loved it. First time round I just used an l-shaped pillow but really appreciated the extra height that the milkbar had (I'm fairly tall).

I used a "My Breast Friend" for both boys and they rock. When they are brand new they are quite firm and I could actually hold it in front of me like a shelf and walk around (very carefully!) with DS still attached. They are around $90 new but people sell them on ebay
