strollers for newborn? Please Help!

Do I really need one or would a baby sling be enough? I have purchased a Baby Bjorn Synergy carrier (with lumbar support). Just wondering if it is practical to use this as my primary carrier as I have a very small car (two door). After fitting the baby capsule in, it doesn't leave much space for a pram (or anything else!). I also have a very small frame (bodywise) and find pushing prams quite cumbersome Please help as I really am quite lost!TIA

Belle, I carried Natty around in my baby bjorn for outings in the first couple of months because she hated the stroller!
If you are looking to wear your baby around the house a lot, then you'll probably want to look at a different type of sling that distributes bubs weight a bit more evenly than the bb (yes, even the one with lumbar support - that's what I've got too). You can get some that offer a bit more support to bubs body so they're not quite so 'slumped' IYKWIM.
But if you are just worried about outings, I'd say the bb is perfect! Only thing is that strollers are brilliant for carrying the additional paraphernalia that babies seem to need! But yes, you can certainly get by without a stroller!
(Ah, and I found the bb was great for when she got bigger too I did the shopping with her tucked in there until she was about 10 months old!)

Thanks Snacks! I was going to wait till bub is a bit older, then maybe get a lightweight stroller for outings as he/she gets heavier I'm only going to use the sling when out and about (not often on my own so DH can always carry bub if too heavy!).

Maclaren strollers are fantastic from a very early age. Worth every cent imo. I had DD in ours from a couple of months old. The one i have has a head insert for babies and reclines right back. It is so nice to push, very light and manouverable. If i lived in the city, i would only ever get one of these, i certainly wouldn't bother with a big pram. But maybe that's just me.

Sounds perfect, Belle. I'm intending to use the BB for this new bubs in the first couple of months, rather than the stroller. Tossing up whether or not to bother with a toddler seat for our stroller for that very reason.
