I fell in love with it and then put it on layby. There are still a few niggling questions that I have but thought it would be ok. Just want to double check with my fellow BBers
1. For a newborn, is it ok that it doesn't lie completely flat? It is elevated a little bit whereas most newborn prams are flat.
2. The lady assured me you can close it with the cocoon. I hope this is true!
3. The lady had trouble closing it but I think it was because it was a floor model and people had mucked around with it
4. Does the skate board attachment work well. My DS is 4.
Congrats! they are an awesome pram......the cocoon compensates for the elevation the seat with it's design so the newborn in the cocoon is quite flat if that makes sense, the seat itself is a lttle bit elevated but the cocoon is shaped to compensate for that.
It will be a little bit stiff at first, it does "break in" and get easier to use...also I think you get mor used to how it goes up an down and so it gets easier and quicker in that sense too. I don't have the skateboard attachment but other people have said it works well, a few people i know have preferred the mutsy board with the Bee so maybe have a look at that board as an option as well.
Um I am not sure if you can close it with the cocoon on as we never had it at newborn stage so never had the cocoon, I can't see why you couldn't fold it with the cocoon on, it just wouldn't fold quite as flat I quess......

I got it because I dislike large cumbersome prams and thought the newborn stage passes relatively quickly and then I would really get to use the benefits of it iykwim. Though I think it is fine for a newborn especially with the cocoon.
- yep it is flat enough for newborns. We did with no problems.
- we didn't fold it up with the cocoon in it but I don't remember if that is because it's not possible. It is very easy to take in and out.
- ours took a few outings to soften up the moving parts.
- I too got a musty board for when my DS is a little older. It works really well when I've tested it.
- I love my bee!
I am just about to get some new hoods....am a bit over the yellow at the moment and am thinking of getting a couple of the limited edition ones....maybe the apple green and the tangerine? or the purple...argghh too many nice colours I can't choose!
Never used the cocoon as I traded in my cameleon for a bee plus after newborn phase was over, but the pram didn't fold quite as flat with the footmuff in (i was still using old cam footmuff which worked pretty well). It did fold, but just not quite as flat because there was a lot of puffy fabric in the way. It wasn't a problem. I'm guessing the cocoon might be similar?? I plan to use a footboard too and the cocoon for the next one. I LOVE it, much more user friendly pram than the cameleon or the umbrella stroller that I;ve used! I have the summer edition with sand seat and off white hood and I think it looks lovely! What colours are you getting?
