    Clothes for a newborn??

Ok, I know this must be a stupid question but I'm super confused about what clothes I'm supposed to be getting for my baby boy (due in 3.5 weeks!)

I've got LOADS of onesies (I think I have terminology right lol- the little t-shirts with poppers that go under the crotch), but only a couple of pairs of pants and 1 all-in-one suit that has legs and boots and everything. (Is this what a bodysuit is??)

Do I need more all-in-one/bodysuit things for early days? I guess I thought that he could wear the onesies and then would be wrapped in swaddling and other blankets and stuff most of the time to keep his little legs warm- but I've been reading that lots of people swear by bodysuits in the early days. I will be very frustrated if I have bought all the wrong stuff!!

Was wondering what everyone thought and what they used in the early days? I am in Perth and he's due mid October so pretty mild weather but not hot.

Another thought, do I need different stuff for daytime and nightime?

Any help for a clueless mum to be??

october through to December gets warm so i would make sure to have singlets on hand i used to live in perth so totally know the weather, They grow pretty fast but the heat in perth is bad if you have air conditioning that would help

i haven't used diff clothes for daytime & nights really - well, apart from putting DS in a clean suit after his bath. DS has mostly worn some sort of all in one suit so far (no legs with pants & the full suits) and has only recently worn tops & pants. i think we'll introduce the idea of pj's in a few months but no need yet (i don't think!)

if you're worried about colder nights, you could always get a couple of the bodysuits or even wait until he's born & then buy them if you do need them

All in one suits are (short or long) maybe 7-10 (so you dont have to wash everyday, spews or leaks) 5-10 singlets and a beanie.

Anything else you can get after bubs is born. Remember you can always wrap them up in a blanket when they are that small to keep them warm

Too be honest. I stressed and agonised over this too and you know what, DD hasn't worn anything that I got her before she was born. She has only just got to 0000 I would be content with the basics you have and you can always go shopping or get someone to pick up a few things for you until you can go yourself. The bonds wondersuits are great, I also like to put a singlet suit on then a top and pants for night time - i find pants are easier to pull on then fighting with too many buttons in the middle of the night but you will work out what you like best quickly.
